Who We Are

We are a small, informal gathering for creative adults and accompanied teens (representing a variety of mediums and skill levels) who want to create in the company of others. There is no formal instruction or agenda, just a time to be together.

Bring your own project, or we have supplies available for drawing, coloring, painting, and fiber art kits. You’re welcome even if you don’t think you’re a creative person!

How to Find Us

We are located in Silicon Valley in the California Bay Area.

We meet on the campus of New Life Church, in the SW building behind the steepled church sanctuary. We share the campus with a school; please park in the west parking lot. Look for the sign on the door!

Community Guidelines
(Please read before attending!)

  1. Be kind. If you can’t be kind, be distracted by something shiny.
  2. This is a space where everyone should be able to feel safe and accepted. No preaching, politics, opinionated ranting, or bigotry (including sexism, racism, homophobia, transphobia, etc.).
  3. While we love sharing, if you are symptomatic or recently exposed to a contagious illness, please don’t share. Stay home, get better, and join us next time.
  4. Masking is encouraged and may be required during times of high community transmission for Covid, flu, etc.
  5. This space does not have proper ventilation for use of toxic or strong-smelling materials. (We may be able to meet outside occasionally to accommodate this kind of work.)
  6. If something is very messy and might leave traces of itself, this isn’t the place for it. (NO GLITTER!! Glitter is the cat hair of the craft world!)
  7. Everyone is expected to clean up after themselves. Please leave the space as clean or cleaner than it was when you arrived. We share this space with other groups.
  8. If you bring drinks or snacks, make sure to keep them away from other people’s projects.
  9. Sharing your own art supplies is appreciated but definitely not required. (Please don’t leave anything here without asking one of the facilitators; we may not have the storage space.)
  10. Please don’t take any communal tools or supplies home without asking one of the facilitators. Please do take your finished project or work in progress though!
  11. Be inspired by others, but do not copy someone else’s designs to sell or share.
  12. Get each person’s permission, every time, before sharing photos of their projects or their faces on social media or anywhere online.
  13. This campus is also used by small children throughout the week. Please drive slowly, watch for kids, and park along the west side.
  14. This gathering is not equipped to accommodate children (but nursing infants are welcome). Teens must be accompanied by a parent or guardian unless cleared with a facilitator and registered ahead of time.
  15. This gathering is for adults and teens from various backgrounds; please keep the conversation and any art you bring family-friendly.

Please do your best to adhere to these guidelines. One of our facilitators may approach you if you need a reminder. Those who are repeatedly unable to follow these guidelines will be asked to leave.

If you are having a conflict with someone in the group, please come to one of the facilitators and we will try to help. We want everyone to be able to relax and feel safe here.
